Acting and Performance Classes
The Border Theatre offers weekly acting and performance classes to the public with the intent of allowing each student to develop working system that allows them to work beyond the peer/mentor relationship.
The sessions involve scene study as well as expansion into basic dramaturgy and basic film acting technique, so that participants are prepared to work immediately in El Paso’s burgeoning film industry.
The source material for the classes are the many original scripts that have been submitted to The Border Theatre by award winning writers from across the nation. Students will have the opportunity to work alongside Border Theatre Ensemble Members in an attempt to accelerate their growth.
Participants will be employed in Border Theatre staged readings and are eligible for casting in the 2011 Exhibitions in Dis/Connection.
The sessions are scheduled from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM every Saturday and will cost only $100 a month. Group discounts are available.
